After working in education technology for over 20 years, Ryan decided that his talents and heart belonged on the stage. He put on some lipstick, mascara, and a wig (nothing more!!) and magically transformed into everybody’s favorite drag auntie, Anja Dick!

The main focus of Anja’s work is community driven. She’s on a crusade to teach people about the dangers of propaganda, misinformation, and personal bias through music and comedy.

“Making people laugh at themselves, and see the stupidity we all have in our hearts is my goal. I’m never mean-spirited, but I won’t take any bullsh*t either!”, she says.

“I love to watch the looks on peoples’ faces when they recognize themselves in one of my jokes. And when they can’t help but laugh at how silly it all is, that’s even better!”

Her brand of observation, commentary, and self-deprecating humor comes through her original music, performances, and infectious stand-up comedy at her hilarious shows.

In addition to community service and support out of drag, she includes a component of charity and community messaging at every show with her “Audience Prostitution Solution” bit, which is used to get audience members to raise money for charity and non-profit organizations and has raised well over $20,000 for various organizations in the past 5 years that she’s been performing.
